Welcome to the Hermitage Academy Parent Council website. We, the elected members of the Parent Council are here to represent the views of the Parent forum. If you are the parent or carer of a child at Hermitage Academy, that’s you! The more parents we are able to engage with, the more accurately we can try to represent the views of parents.
The ‘parent voice’ of Hermitage Academy has always been strong, and, as such, we have seen considerable changes and improvements in the school. This is realised through a partnership approach with the school and Senior Leadership Team, to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people in Hermitage Academy.
You can communicate directly with us via the elected year group representatives or by using the ‘contact us’ link. We also operate a Facebook page which we’d encourage you to join (please note that this is a closed group and only members of the parent forum will be approved).
The Parent Council meets in a public forum every second month, generally on the first Monday of the month in the former school library at 7pm. We would love to see you there but we understand that busy parents/careers often struggle to make it to meetings. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if we can be of any assistance.
Please come and say ‘hello’ if you see us at any events throughout the school year representing the Parent Council/Parent Forum.
Hermitage Academy pupils are our priority and we will endeavour to robustly engage with the school to ensure continuous improvements are made.
